Amaretto – Quark Stollen

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 200 g sugar
  • 175 g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g quark
  • 50 g candied lemon peel (ground if desired)
  • 50 g orange peel (optionally ground)
  • 100 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 150 g raisins
  • 5 tbsp Amaretto

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Soak the raisins in the Amaretto overnight. Knead all ingredients together. Either form a Stollen or place it in a Stollen baking pan. Bake at 175-200°C for about 60 minutes. While still hot, brush generously with melted butter and dust with powdered sugar. If you like, you can also blend the candied lemon and orange peel in a blender beforehand. This way, you won’t bite into it!
