Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 310 ml ketchup
- 220 g brown sugar
- 60 ml molasses, dark
- 60 ml apple cider vinegar
- 60 ml water
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 ½ tsp mustard powder
- 2 tsp paprika powder
- ½ tsp garlic, squeezed
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt, coarse
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked salt (hickory smoked salt)
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
in the style of Sweet Baby Ray Sauce, amazingly similar – and soooo delicious
Bring all ingredients to a boil in a saucepan on the stove over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce should thicken slightly. Remove the sauce from the heat, transfer to a bowl, and serve. Store in a lidded plastic container in the refrigerator for up to 14 days. Makes approximately 700 ml of sauce.
