American Chocolate Chip Cookies

- 2,25 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 0,5 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Butter
- 0,75 cup Sugar
- 0,75 cup Brown sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla sugar
- 2 cups Dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup Coarsely chopped nuts
- Preheat the oven to 190 ° Celsius. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
- Beat the soft butte with the sugar in a larger bowl with an electric hand mixer on medium setting. Alternatively, you can mix them with a spoon for about 1 minute until the batter is fluffy. Don’t forget the batter on the edge of the bowl.
- Now add the egg and vanilla sugar to the butter-sugar mixture and stir the dough until it is smooth. Then add this to the flour mixture and stir everything until it is well mixed (the dough will then set). Then stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.

- Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes or until light brown (the center stays soft). Then let them cool for 2 minutes, remove them from the baking paper and place them on a cooling rack. Let them cool for another 30 minutes. Then keep them airtight.
