Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 80 g caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 180 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 100 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 2 packs of chocolate decorations (chocolate drops), 150 g

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 14 minutes; Total time approx. 34 minutes

Cream the butter or margarine with the sugar until fluffy. Add the vanilla sugar and beat in along with the egg. Stir in the flour mixed with the baking powder and salt, then fold in the chopped hazelnuts and chocolate chips. Using a teaspoon, place small heaps of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (Gas Mark 2) for 12-14 minutes, until risen and golden brown. After cooling briefly, remove from the baking sheet with a spatula. Store in a tin.
