Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 150 g flour
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 egg(s), according to taste and size, possibly 2
- 200 ml milk
- 3 tbsp oil
- Butter or margarine for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
American pancakes
Mix all dry ingredients thoroughly. In another bowl, combine the eggs, milk, and oil. Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients, beat with a hand mixer until smooth, and let the batter rest for a few minutes. Heat a little butter or margarine in a pan, add a quarter of the batter to each pancake, and cook gently at low temperature (they will quickly overcook). Flip the pancakes once the top is no longer runny, and cook the other side until golden brown. Maple syrup is delicious with the pancakes.
