Ingredients

  • 500 ml Buttermilk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking soda
  • 60 g Butter

Instructions

  • Separate the eggs and beat the yolks with the sugar until frothy. Then stir in the buttermilk and flour alternately. Melt the butter and stir in as well. Finally add the baking soda and stir everything into a smooth dough. Tip: I use a whisk instead of a mixer. This will make the dough more fluffy.
  • Beat the egg whites and fold into the batter. Bake the pancakes in a large pan with a little oil until they are golden brown on both sides. Serve with maple syrup. You can vary the pancakes in different ways, e.g. with chocolate chips, fresh blueberries, apples etc.
