Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 onions
  • 4 tomatoes, dried
  • 1 pack of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 120 g red pesto
  • 10 anchovies or sardines
  • some basil leaves

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

…can also be made with anchovies

Heat the oil. Slice the onions into rings and fry. Chop the tomatoes and add them. Place the puff pastry on a greased baking sheet and spread with pesto rosso. Spread the onion mixture on top. Chop the anchovies and add them. Tear the basil and scatter it on top. Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes.
