Andy's flambéed bananas

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 banana(s)
  • 40 g butter
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 dl orange juice
  • 2 cl Cuban or Caribbean rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Slice the banana into slices about 1 cm thick. Melt the butter in a flambé pan or other frying pan. Add the orange juice and sugar and mix well. Add the banana and stir gently until translucent. Set the pan aside, add the rum, and light it immediately. (Be careful of the flash flame!) Immediately transfer the bananas to bowls and enjoy. Also delicious on a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
