Andy’s White Bread
The perfect andy’s white bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 600 ml Milk
- 1 cube Yeast fresh
- 1 kg Flour
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- Dissolve the yeast in the milk.
- Put the flour in a bowl, add the salt and olive oil, then add the milk-yeast mixture and knead everything into a compact dough. Then shape the dough into a ball and return it to the bowl.
- Then let the dough rise for 2 hours in a warm place (I always put the bowl with the dough under the blanket in bed) after the 2 hours (the dough ball should now be 3X as big as it was at the beginning) remove the dough from the bowl take and knead well again and divide in half, shape the two halves of the dough so that they fit well into the molds. Now put everything in the oven.
- Close the oven (do not switch it on yet) now the dough has to rise for another 2 hours. After the 2 hours, switch on the oven. Upper / lower heat – 180 ° – 50 minutes I always remove the baking tins after 25 minutes so that the bread is brown and crispy all around.
