Angy's anchovy bread skewers

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 baguette(s)
  • 2 eggs, hard boiled
  • 1 can anchovy fillet(s) in oil
  • 100 g butter
  • 50 g cheese, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Cut the baguette into approximately 1 cm thick slices. Mash the eggs with the anchovies, butter, and cheese, and mix. Press the garlic cloves through a garlic press and mix in. Season with salt and pepper. Brush the bread slices with the mixture. Thread three slices side by side onto a wooden skewer. Place the skewers, coated side up, on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C fan/200°C top/bottom heat for about 7 minutes. Serve while still hot, but it’s also delicious cold!
