Ingredients for 10 servings:
- 5 eggs
- 250 g sugar
- 1 tbsp anise
- 150 g flour
- 100 g cornstarch (Mondamin)
- 1 pinch of baking powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Loaf cake
Separate the eggs. Add the 5 egg yolks and sugar to the stiffly beaten egg whites. Beat until frothy, then stir in the selected anise, flour, and baking powder. Pour this mixture into a greased 28 cm loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for about 80 minutes until light golden. Once cooled, the cake can be eaten as is, or cut into 1/2 cm thick slices and baked again until light golden.
