Anise Cookies

The perfect anise cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Pc. Free range eggs
  • 150 g Powdered sugar
  • 2 Teaspoon (level) Anise powder
  • 150 g Spelled flour
  1. Beat the eggs with powdered sugar to a light cream.
  2. Mix the anise with the flour and add gradually. Stir slowly with a mixer for at least 45 minutes.
  3. So long until the mass is really firm, white and as viscous as honey.
  4. Line baking trays with baking paper and butter, then properly dust with flour.
  5. Use a teaspoon to put small piles on the baking sheet.
  6. The dough should flow smoothly but not melt very much.
  7. Let it dry overnight, then preheat the oven to 150C and bake. Depending on the oven, 10-15 minutes.
  8. Usually small feet are formed. Unfortunately for me there were only two cookies. The others were without feet. I put far too little flour on the baking sheet. But that doesn’t detract from the taste.
