Anne's pizza sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 can of pizza tomatoes, 400 g
  • 1 tsp oregano, dried
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp Aceto balsamico, darker
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Dice the onion. Heat olive oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion until translucent. Crush the garlic. Add the tomatoes and oregano and bring to a boil. Simmer uncovered over low to medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season to taste with salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, and sugar. 48 kcal per serving. Tip: With a few black olives, capers, and chopped flat-leaf parsley, the pizza sauce quickly becomes a delicious pasta sauce.
