Annis Stewed Cabbage Mince Pot
The perfect annis stewed cabbage mince pot recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1,2 kg Fresh white cabbage
- 800 g Ground beef
- 150 g Onions
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 2,5 tbsp Margarine for frying
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 1 l Clear broth
- Salt
- Pepper from the grinder
- Sweet paprika
- Cornstarch
- Creme fraiche Cheese
- Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage. Halve the cabbage and cut out the stalk. Cut the cabbage into small pieces.
- Let 1 teaspoons of margarine get hot in a large, wide saucepan. Fry the mince in it until crumbly, remove it.
- 2 tablespoons of margarine to the frying fat and brown the chopped cabbage, turning from time to time. When the cabbage is browned, fry the onions and garlic briefly. Admit hack again. Stir everything. Season well with pepper, salt and paprika, stir in tomato paste and sauté briefly. Add the stock, stir and simmer covered on a low heat for approx. 40 minutes. Always turn it around. When the cabbage has a nice brown color and is soft, thicken with potato starch. Mix the potato starch in cold water. (It is tasteless, binds very well and does not leave any lumps). Season the cabbage again to taste.
- Serve with a dollop of crème fraîche. There is also boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes. It tastes even better when warmed up the next day.
