Ingredients
 

For the apple cranberry compote

  • 4 Apples
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp Custard powder
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 250 ml Apple juice
  • 100 g Dried cranberries
  • 1 pinch Ground cinnamon

For the vanilla sauce

  • 200 ml Cream
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • 3 Egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp Starch
  • Sugar
  • 300 ml Milk

Instructions
 

Apple and cranberrie compote

  • Peel, quarter and core the apples. Cut the apples into pieces. Bring to the boil with apple juice, sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the cranberries and cook for about 5 minutes. Mix the vanilla pudding powder with 1 tablespoon of water. Stir into the compote and simmer for another 1 minute. Sweeten again to taste and let the compote cool down.

  • Put the milk and the cream in a saucepan. Scrape out the vanilla pod. Put the pulp and the scraped-out peel in the milk. Boil. Beat the egg yolks with the starch until smooth and add to the boiling cream milk. Remove the vanilla pod. Sweeten and cool the sauce again to taste. serve the compote with the vanilla sauce. Enjoy your meal!
