Apple and honey jam

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1.3 kg apples
  • 6 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar 1:1
  • 2 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 50 g liquid honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Peel, quarter, and core the apples. Weigh out 1 kg of pulp. Finely dice the apples and drizzle with lemon juice. Combine the apples, gelling sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil while stirring, then simmer for 3 minutes, starting at a rapid boil. Remove the jam from the heat, remove the cinnamon sticks, and stir in the honey. Fill prepared twist-off jars to the brim with jam and seal. Tip: If you prefer a less sweet jam, use 500 g of gelling sugar 2:1.
