Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 125 g margarine
  • 300 g flour
  • 120 g sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 egg(s), including the yolk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 75 g sugar
  • 75 g butter
  • 75 g almonds, chopped
  • 1 egg(s), including the yolk
  • 2 eggs, of which the egg white
  • 1 kg apples, sour, stewed

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Prepare the shortcrust pastry and divide it in half. 1. Place the dough piece in the springform pan and spread the stewed apples on top. 2. Roll out the dough piece and place it on top of the apples. Mix the ingredients for the almond topping, beat the egg whites until stiff, and fold in. Spread this mixture over the pastry. Bake the cake for approximately 40 to 50 minutes at medium heat. After 20 minutes, pierce the pastry several times with a fork to allow the moisture to escape.
