Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 325 g butter or margarine, melted
  • 350 g sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites, beaten stiffly
  • 3 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 tbsp rum
  • 500 g apples, peeled
  • 2 tbsp jam, if desired
  • some powdered sugar
  • 5 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Fat for the mold

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Mix 100g butter or margarine, 125g sugar, 3 egg yolks, a pinch of salt, 200g flour, 1 sachet of baking powder, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, and a dash of rum. Beat 3 egg whites and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar until stiff peaks form and add to the mixture. Grease a 26cm springform pan well or line it with baking paper and pour the mixture into the pan. Place the peeled and sliced ​​apples on top and spread with jam, if desired. Mix 225g butter, 225g sugar, 5 tbsp cocoa powder, 300g flour, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, a dash of rum, and 2 tsp cinnamon (optional) and spread over the apples. Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes. Once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
