Apple Cobbler

The perfect apple cobbler recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

The apple compote

  • 650 g Apple cubes
  • 2 tbsp Raisins
  • 50 g Butter
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Mix spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, vanilla to taste

The dough

  • 150 g Spelled flour 630
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Chopped almonds
  • 100 g Butter
  • 125 ml Milk
  1. Bring all the ingredients for the apple compote to a boil with a sip of water and simmer until the apple pieces are cooked through and the water has evaporated. Put aside.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients for the dough with the butter well. Stir in the milk.
  3. Put the apple compote in a small to medium baking dish and spoon the batter over it. Bake at 160 for about 30 minutes.
  4. Dust with icing sugar and enjoy lukewarm or cold!
  5. Cobblers can be made with a wide variety of fruits and berries. Vanilla ice cream also goes very well with it.
