Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 lemon(s), untreated
  • 800 g apples, sour
  • 4 tbsp white wine
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel 1 lemon thinly. Halve the lemon and squeeze out the juice. Peel, quarter, core, and cut the apples into 1 cm pieces. Place the apple pieces in a saucepan with 3 tablespoons of lemon juice, the white wine, 4 tablespoons of water, and the lemon zest. Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the pod and seeds to the apples along with the cinnamon and sugar, bring to a boil, and simmer the apples gently over low heat until softened.
