quick, easy, cheap and above all delicious
First, wash the apples, peel them if desired (you can also use them unpeeled), cut them into pieces, and place them in a saucepan. Add a few drops of lemon juice, water, raisins, and sugar, and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 to 8 minutes. Don’t forget to stir. Remove from the heat and let it steep. Next, mix the yogurt with the honey and cinnamon (the amounts of both ingredients can be adjusted to taste) in a bowl. Beat the cream with a hand mixer in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form and fold it into the yogurt. Either refrigerate the apple compote or divide it into bowls while it’s still lukewarm and spoon the yogurt-cinnamon cream over it. Enjoy it cold or warm. If you prefer a lower fat dessert, you can simply use more yogurt and less cream. Children especially love this dessert, but adults can also be delighted with this simple yet delicious combination. Not just a dessert for the cold season.
