Apple compote with cranberries

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 apples, crumbly (e.g. Boskoop)
  • 3 tbsp cranberries, dried
  • 200 ml apple juice
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Peel, core, and dice the apples. Bring to a boil along with the sugar, apple juice, dried cranberries, and spice sticks. Simmer on low heat until the apples have broken down. Allow to cool and remove the spice sticks before serving.
