Apple Copenhagen

The perfect apple copenhagen recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For 6 particles:

  • 6 Discs Frozen puff pastry
  • 0,5 packet Baking custard cream
  • 3 small Apples
  • Possibly raisins, if you like
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tbsp Apricot jam
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  2. Place the frozen puff pastry slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and allow to thaw.
  3. Prepare the baking custard cream according to the instructions on the package. Peel and core the apples and drizzle with lemon juice. Beat the egg yolks with milk
  4. Score an edge of about 1 cm into each of the puff pastry slices (do not cut through) and brush with the whisked egg yolk. Put a tablespoon of pudding cream on top and half an apple on top. Sprinkle with raisins if you like and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Strain the apricot jam through a sieve, heat it up and brush the finished apple copenhagen (only the apples) with it while it is still hot.
