Apple Crumble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 m.-sized apples
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cranberries, dried
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 30 g butter, cold
  • 1 tbsp flour, heaped tbsp
  • 1 tbsp rolled oats, whole, heaped tbsp
  • 1 tbsp, levelled sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 pinches of cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Quarter, peel, core, and slice the apples approximately 5 mm thick. Mix with lemon juice and cranberries (it’s also delicious without cranberries). Pour into two cups (a casserole dish works for larger portions) and drizzle each with maple syrup or honey. Cut the butter into small pieces. Using the dough hook of a hand mixer, knead the flour, whole-grain oats, butter, sugar, salt, and cinnamon into coarse crumbles. Crumble the crumbles over the apples and bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (top/bottom heat, fan: 170°C) on the second rack from the bottom for approximately 30 minutes.
