Rum – baked apple

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 large apples (e.g. Boskoop)
  • 2 tbsp almond slivers
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 2 tbsp brown rum
  • 1 tsp honey, liquid, optionally a little more
  • 1 tbsp butter, cold in flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel the apples and core them with an apple corer. Place the apples in a heatproof dish. Mix the almond slivers with the raisins, rum, and honey. Fill the hollowed-out apples with the mixture and lightly pile it on top. Distribute the butter flakes on top and bake the apples in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. Then place them on plates and serve hot. Tip: Serve with vanilla sauce, if desired.
