Apple Crumble

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g flour
  • 150 g oat flakes, preferably half coarse, half fine
  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • 4 large apples, not too sweet
  • 20 g sugar
  • 3 tbsp apple juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). First, mix the brown sugar with ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon, then knead it with the flour, oats, and butter to form crumbles. Grease a baking dish and add the peeled, cored, and chopped apples. Mix the sugar with ½ teaspoon of cinnamon and mix well with the apple juice. Pour over the apples and mix gently. Spread the crumbles evenly over the apples and bake for 30-40 minutes. Apple crumble can be eaten warm or cold and served with vanilla sauce or vanilla ice cream. Instead of apples, you can also use rhubarb, for example, but in this case, you will need to increase the amount of sugar in the apple juice.
