simply
For the dough, mix the first four ingredients together well. Then mix the flour and baking powder and stir in. Spread the finished dough onto a baking tray that has either been well greased or lined with a sheet of baking paper. Depending on the desired height of the cake, you can choose a small roasting pan (approx. 30 x 40 cm), a large springform pan, or another shallow baking pan. For the topping, quarter the peeled and cored apples and spread them on the dough. For the crumble, knead the flour, sugar, and softened butter until crumbly and sprinkle the crumble evenly over the apples. Bake the cake at approx. 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. If using fan-assisted oven, reduce the temperature accordingly, i.e., at approx. 175°C (350°F). Finally, decorate the finished cake with icing. Mix the icing sugar with lemon juice until smooth and then pipe it onto the cake in a lattice pattern using a freezer bag. Of course, you can also apply the icing freehand with a teaspoon. However, it will be more even and delicate if you use a freezer bag, cutting off a small tip after filling.
