a real classic!
To make the dough, first mix the yeast with the milk and a little sugar and let it stand for a moment. Meanwhile, sift the flour into a bowl and mix with the sugar. Then add the yeast milk, briefly swirl it around the surface with a fork and let it stand for about 15 minutes. Then add the butter and salt and knead with a dough hook until you have a smooth yeast dough. Let it rise in a warm place or in a warm water bath for about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, peel, quarter and core the apples and cut them into thick wedges. Drizzle with a little lemon juice, if desired. Line a greased baking sheet with the dough and arrange the apple slices on top in a flake-like pattern. Let the dough rise again while you prepare the crumble. To do this, mix the flour and sugar and cinnamon, if desired, in a bowl, add the butter in pieces and slowly knead with the dough hook until you have crumbles. Spread the crumble over the apples and bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. Tip: Tastes delicious with brown cane sugar too! If you prefer a less yeasty dough, use dried yeast and prepare the dough without a pre-dough.
