Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 225 g flour (wheat flour)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 30 g oat flakes
- 100 g almond(s), ground
- 150 g sugar
- 2 pts. vanilla sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon, ground
- 200 g butter
- 1 jar applesauce, chunky
- 1 lemon(s), grated peel
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Combine the flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Add the oats, almonds, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Using a hand mixer, mix the ingredients into crumbles and then chill for a while. Pour half of the crumbles into a greased 12-hole muffin tin and press down lightly. Mix the applesauce with the lemon zest and spread it over the muffin crumble batter using a teaspoon. Then sprinkle the remaining crumbles on top. Place the tin in the oven and bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Let the muffins cool in the tin.
