delicious apple fritters with maple syrup and walnut ice cream
For the batter, sift the flour into a bowl and mix with the sugar. Add the egg and beat everything with a little milk until thick. No lumps should form. Now gradually stir in the remaining milk and whiskey, stirring constantly. Leave the batter to rise in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Peel the apples, core them, and cut into slices about 4 mm thick. Place on a flat plate, sprinkle with sugar, and drizzle with lemon juice. Cover and let stand for at least 20 minutes. Heat a little oil in a pan. Briefly stir the batter again, toss the apples in the sugar, and fry in the hot oil until golden brown on both sides. Serve the finished apple fritters on a plate with a scoop of walnut ice cream on each plate. Drizzle each plate with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and serve immediately.
