Apple Hazelnut Tart

The perfect apple hazelnut tart recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 gr Flour
  • 250 gr Sugar
  • 250 gr Cold and diced butter
  • 2 Egg yolk
  • 4 tbsp Cold water
  • 4 Apples
  • 3 tbsp Ground hazelnut
  • 3 tbsp Powdered sugar
  1. Mix the flour, 200g sugar and butter in a food processor to make a crumble.
  1. Add the egg yolk and the cold water and knead into a dough.
  1. Chill for 1 hour.
  1. In the meantime, peel the apples and cut into small pieces. Cook until soft in a saucepan with 50 grams of sugar. Add the ground hazelnuts. Put aside.
  1. Divide the dough into two pieces. Roll out a piece of dough, paste in the mold and dust with flour and place the dough on top. Fill with the apple mixture.
  1. Roll out the other part of the dough and cut into 2 cm long pieces and place over the tart so that a grid pattern is created.
  1. Bake at 180 degrees golden yellow. Dust with powdered sugar
