Apple jelly with Amaretto

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 900 ml apple juice
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar, 1:1
  • ¼ tsp ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp cardamom, ground
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cl Amaretto

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 12 hours; Total time approx. 12 hours 5 minutes

from neighbor’s apples

Combine apple juice, lemon juice, gelling sugar, and spices in a sufficiently large saucepan, cover, and let stand overnight. The next day, bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Test for settling. At the end of the cooking time, add the Amaretto. Pour into hot, rinsed jars, seal immediately. Cover with a cloth, and let stand to cool.
