Apple-orange pudding on orange fillets

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 ml orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • ½ apple, grated
  • 200 ml milk
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 large orange(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 15 minutes

Peel the orange and cut out the segments. Whisk the orange juice with the milk, cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Bring the orange juice and milk mixture to a boil in a saucepan on the stove, stirring constantly. Stir in the grated apple immediately after boiling. Pour the pudding into pudding molds and wait until it sets (approx. 3-4 hours). Then turn it out onto a plate lined with the orange segments. You can also pour the orange segments into glasses first and then spoon the pudding over them; it can be served immediately. Tip: If you don’t want to turn out your pudding and just add the segments on top, you can use 5g less cornstarch for a creamier consistency.
