Apple pie in a jar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter, soft
  • 150 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tbsp Calvados, alternatively apple juice
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 2 small apples (approx. 90 g each)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

for 6 ovenproof glasses of 160 ml each

Grease the jars and preheat the oven to 175°C (top/bottom heat). Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs. Add the Calvados or apple juice. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir into the batter. Fill the jars halfway with batter. Wash, peel, and quarter the apples. Place one quarter in the center of each prepared jar. Bake the cakes in the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove the jars from the oven. Once cooled, turn the cakes out of the jars or serve in the jar with a spoon for scooping. Dust with powdered sugar.
