Stir the dough with the mixer until it falls from the spoon and is difficult to tear. Grease the baking sheet with margarine or butter. Fruit topping
- Peel, quarter and core the apples. Score the quartered apple pieces on the peeled side several times with the knife and place the core side down on the dough. In this way, cover the whole dough with the quartered apples until you can see almost only apples.
to bake
- 45 – 50 min at 175 – 195 ° C with top and bottom heat After baking, let the whole thing cool down (approx. 30 min). Of course, the lukewarm apple cake can also be sprinkled with cocoa powder, powdered sugar or chopped almonds, as everyone likes it best.
Modifications
- Instead of an apple and fruit topping, other types of fruit such as plums, cherries or mirabelle plums etc. can of course also be used as topping. In the case of plums, cherries, etc., the fruit should only be halved and pitted and placed with the outside (skin) on the dough. This way, more water remains in the fruit and the dough is not soaked in the amniotic fluid.
