Apple Pie with Cinnamon and Sour Cream

The perfect apple pie with cinnamon and sour cream recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 tablespoon Ice cold water
  • 400 g Apples fresh
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 200 g Sour cream
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar
  1. Knead a dough out of flour, butter, sugar, salt and water. Wrap in cling film and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Quarter and peel the apples, remove the core and cut into wedges. Mix with the lemon juice.
  3. Grease an apple pan (or springform pan with a diameter of 26 cm). Roll out the dough and place in the mold. Pull up an edge. Cover the bottom with the apple slices. Sprinkle brown sugar on top. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  4. Separate eggs. Beat egg whites with salt until stiff. Mix the egg yolks with sour cream, sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Fold in the egg whites. Take the cake out of the oven. Spread the sour cream on the apples. Bake in the oven at the same temperature in about 20 minutes.
  5. Take out of the oven and let cool down. Carefully remove from the mold and place on a cake plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
