Apple pie without milk

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 apples, e.g. Braeburn
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 100 g sugar
  • 175 g flour
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Peel, core, and halve the apples, then score the surface several times. Whisk together the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until creamy, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour and baking powder and gradually stir in. Add the lemon juice and beat briefly again. Pour the batter into a springform pan and smooth it out. Place the apple halves on the batter and press down lightly, but do not press all the way to the bottom. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of sugar. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approx. 40-45 minutes. Allow to cool slightly and sprinkle with 1-2 tablespoons of powdered sugar. Tip: If you like, you can sprinkle the edges with almond flakes and brush the cake with warm apricot jam instead of powdered sugar.
