Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 pack of puff pastry (frozen), already cut into squares
- 1 jar applesauce (or chopped apples if desired)
- 2 egg whites
- 2 egg yolks
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
enough for 10 pieces
Place the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it thaw for about 1/4 to 1/2 hour. Once thawed, spread the applesauce or apple pieces on the puff pastry (place more in the center). Brush the edges of the puff pastry squares with egg white and fold them corner over corner. Then press the edges of the triangle together with a fork. Whisk the egg yolk and brush it on top. Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 200°C and bake for about 20 minutes (or according to the packaging of the puff pastry). You can, of course, use other fruit (e.g. cherries, pineapple, etc.). It tastes delicious both hot and cold.
