Apple Walnut Cake: Two Great Recipes

This is how you succeed in making a great apple and walnut cake

For the first recipe, you need the following ingredients: 150g butter, 200g flour, 100g sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 3 eggs, 2 packets of vanilla sugar, 200g walnuts, a tablespoon of brown sugar, 6 apples, 3 tablespoons of apricot jam and some butter for the topping.

  • First grease a round springform pan, line it with baking paper, and preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius.
  • Now chop the walnuts into small pieces and line the bottom of the springform pan with them. Then sprinkle the walnuts with brown sugar.
  • For the batter, stir together the sugar, butter, and vanilla sugar, and add the eggs one at a time.
  • Then add the flour and baking powder to the mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the springform pan and smooth it out.
  • The washed, peeled and cored apples only have to be cut into small pieces and spread on the dough.
  • Finally spread butter flakes on the apples and put them in the oven for 60 minutes.
  • After you get the cake out of the oven, you can spread the apricot jam directly on the apples. But it works better if you boil the jam beforehand and spread it over the apples.

Easy apple and walnut cake

For a very simple but delicious apple pie you need the following ingredients: 150g walnuts, 200g softened butter, an organic lemon, 340g sugar, 800g apples, a pinch of salt, four eggs, 350g flour, two level teaspoons of baking powder and icing sugar for dusting.

  • First, prepare a round springform pan by greasing it and lining it with baking paper. Also, preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
  • First, chop the walnuts and melt 40g of butter. Put the butter in the springform pan and sprinkle the butter with 90g of sugar. Then lay out the bottom with the walnuts.
  • Now grate the lemon zest after washing the lemon with hot water. Halve the lemon and squeeze it.
  • The apples must be washed, peeled, cored, and cut into thin strips.
  • The finely chopped apples must be mixed with lemon juice, lemon zest, and 50g of sugar.
  • Then spread the apples evenly over the nuts.
  • For the portion, mix 160g butter with 200g sugar and a pinch of salt until you get a creamy mass. Then stir the eggs into the mixture one at a time.
  • Finally, stir in the flour and baking powder.
  • Spread the batter evenly over the apples.
  • Put the cake in the oven for 40 minutes. After baking, the cake must be cooled in the mold for four hours.
