Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 tbsp water, cold
  • 4 m.-sized apples, e.g. Elstar
  • some jam (raspberry jam)
  • 25 g nuts or almonds, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Knead the flour, butter, salt, and water thoroughly using a dough hook. Form the dough into a ball and chill in the refrigerator for one hour. Peel the apples and core them using an apple corer. Mix the jam with the nuts or almonds. Roll out the dough thinly. Cut out 4 circles with a diameter of approximately 20 cm. Place 1 apple in the center of each circle and fill with the jam. Fold the dough upwards, brush the top edges with water, and press together over the apples. Finally, cut out a small, round, jagged circle of dough and place it on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 40 minutes. Serve while still warm!
