applesauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 10 apples
  • 1 tsp, smothered cinnamon
  • some cardamom
  • 1 piece(s) ginger, approx. 2 cm
  • some sugar or sweetener
  • possibly drink powder (vanilla flavor)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Indian variant

Core the apples and cut into fairly small pieces. Peel and split the piece of ginger, then add it to the bowl. Heat the ginger and apples in the microwave or in a saucepan on low heat to retain the vitamins. After about 10 minutes, remove the ginger and add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla powder, and cardamom. Stir and let everything steep for another 5 minutes. Finally, process everything in a food processor, using a hand blender, or a food mill until smooth. It tastes great with yogurt, milk, and muesli, and also with milk or semolina porridge, or with classic egg or potato pancakes.
