Applesauce with a twist

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 5 tbsp cherry juice
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces. Add the apple pieces to a pot with the cherry juice. Let everything simmer until it forms a puree. Sometimes I add a packet of vanilla sugar, depending on your taste, but it’s not necessary. You can leave the applesauce with small pieces. We like it without any chunks, so I puree the mixture while it’s still hot with an immersion blender.
