Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 150 g beet syrup, dark
- 2 tbsp honey (orange blossom), maybe a little more
- 320 g muesli with dried fruits
- 80 g edible bran (spelt bran)
- 140 g spelt flour, (630)
- 400 ml water, hot
- 2 tbsp pulp (apple-mango) *
- 0.3 tsp sea salt
- 3 pinches of nutmeg
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Tray 38×24 cm, snack
Weigh the dry ingredients and mix. Melt the butter in the sugar beet syrup. Let it cool. Stir in the honey and apple-mango puree. * Thicker applesauce can also be used instead of the apple-mango puree. Preheat oven to 180-190 degrees Celsius. Stir the dry ingredients thoroughly into the butter mixture, add the spices, and mix everything well. Line an oven tray with baking paper. Spread the soft dough mixture on the baking sheet and bake at 190 degrees Celsius (electric) for about 25 minutes. Let the slices cool on the baking sheet and then cut into small rectangles. This long-lasting baked good should rest for a day; then the slices will taste delicious and aromatic. The slices will keep well if stored in a cool cake container. With an internal baking sheet measuring 38×24 cm, the slices will be 1.5 to 2 cm thick. An oven tray requires a dough quantity increased by half the ingredients.
