Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 can artichoke hearts, 240 g drained weight
  • 1 tbsp mustard, hot
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) rosemary, ground
  • 1 pinch(s) ground savory

Rinse the artichoke hearts thoroughly, drain, and squeeze them lightly. Remove any hard outer leaves or tough tips. Halve or quarter the artichoke hearts. Press the garlic through a garlic press and mix with the mustard, salt, and spices. Add enough lemon juice to create a thick sauce. Carefully fold the chopped artichoke hearts into the sauce. This can be served immediately or prepared the day before and refrigerated. This is a great party snack for a cold buffet.
