Asian Beef with Orange

The perfect asian beef with orange recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 100 g Basmati rice
  • 1 Pc. Orange
  • 2 St Spring onion
  • 300 g Beef
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 150 ml Orange juice
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  1. First wash the rice and bring to the boil with twice the amount of water, season with salt and pepper and then let it soak for about 20 minutes.
  2. In the meantime, wash the orange and put on fine zest for the garnish. Fillet the fruit. Wash the spring onions and cut into small rings.
  3. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces, season with salt and pepper and fry with the oil in a wok or pan until it is through. Remove the meat and sauté the spring onions in the frying fat until translucent. Take off the flame.
  4. Put the orange juice, soy sauce and honey in a saucepan and simmer over high heat to a syrupy consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Now add the orange fillets and the meat and stir in the spring onions again. Arrange the whole thing on the rice and sprinkle with the orange zest. And then eat in style with chopsticks;)
