Asian fried noodles with ham

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g noodles (wheat noodles), Asian-Oriental
  • 4 tbsp oil (soybean oil)
  • Salt
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 2 carrots
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 100 g soy sprouts
  • 8 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Add the noodles and 1 tablespoon of oil to boiling salted water. Cook for about 5 minutes, then drain. Cut the leek into rings and the carrots into strips. Cut the ham into strips. Drain the sprouts. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok or pan. Stir-fry the carrots and leek for 3-4 minutes. Add the sprouts and a little soy sauce, braise briefly, then remove from the pan. Add the noodles and ham to the pan. Stir in the garlic and sambal oelek and fry until golden brown. Add the vegetables to the noodles, return to the heat, and season to taste.
