Asparagus and potato gratin

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 m.-sized potatoes
  • 250 g asparagus, cut into pieces
  • 250 ml water
  • e.g. chili pepper(s)
  • 2 slices of cooked ham
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (5% fat)
  • n. B. Cheese for topping

Cut the potatoes into slices about 0.5 cm thick. Place them in boiling salted water and shortly after add the asparagus. Cook for about 10 minutes, drain and reserving the cooking water. Place the vegetables in a casserole dish. Melt the butter in the pot and fry the chili. Dust with flour and pour in the cooking liquid (about 200 ml). Make a roux. Finally, stir in the cream cheese. Place the diced ham on the vegetables and pour the sauce over them. Bake in the oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Then sprinkle with the cheese and bake for another 10 minutes. Also delicious as a side dish, for example, with chicken breast or schnitzel.
