Potatoes with a fine sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • Salt and pepper, nutmeg
  • 4 kohlrabi
  • 4 tsp margarine (half-fat margarine)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 250 ml milk, low-fat
  • 75 g processed cheese (25% fat)
  • 1 pack of parsley, frozen
  • 8 slices of raw ham, without fat (160 g)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cook the potatoes, still with their skins on, in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes. Cut the kohlrabi into sticks and cook in salted water for about 10 minutes. Melt the margarine in a saucepan, dust with flour, and stir to combine. Add the milk and whisk until smooth. Melt the cheese in the sauce, stir in the parsley, and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Peel the potatoes while still hot, arrange them on plates with the ham, and serve with the kohlrabi and sauce.
