Asparagus flatbread with ham and cheese

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 large flatbread(s)
  • 1 kg asparagus, green
  • 250 g Gouda, young, grated
  • 250 g cooked ham
  • 2 large eggs
  • butter
  • n. B. Chives, fine
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the lower third of the asparagus and cut it into 1 cm thick diagonal slices, leaving the heads slightly larger. Cook in salted water with sugar and butter for 5 minutes, then drain. Cut the ham into small cubes, mix with the cheese, asparagus, and eggs, and season with salt and pepper. Cut the flatbread crosswise and place it on a baking sheet. Divide the filling between both halves. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for 10-15 minutes until crispy. Cut into eighths, sprinkle with chives, and serve immediately.
