Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 12 stalk(s) asparagus
- 4 slices of cooked ham
- some herb butter
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius (320 degrees Fahrenheit). In the meantime, peel the asparagus and trim the ends. Then spread out a sufficiently large piece of aluminum foil and place a large slice of cooked ham on it. Please make sure that the slices are very large when purchasing asparagus. Place three asparagus spears on this slice and then the herb butter on top. Then wrap the ends in cooked ham, so that the asparagus is rolled up. Then wrap the whole thing tightly in aluminum foil, but with the ends on top. It’s best to double the foil so that nothing can drip out. Place everything in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Serve with boiled or skin-on potatoes, and of course, a delicious hollandaise sauce is a must, even low-calorie sauce.
